A method for promoting neurogenesis is provided. The present description relates generally to methods of using Aβ binding molecules, including, for example, antibodies and antibody fragments that recognize Aβ. The present description provides methods of using Aβ binding molecules to promote neurogenesis, angiogenesis, synaptic activity, and / or dendritic branching. The description also provides methods for treating various diseases, disorders, injuries, and conditions associated with amyloid plaques or Aβ accumulation.
