abstract | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for synthesizing 5-hydroxymethylfurfural by one-pot (one-step) reaction using cellulose and / or a cellulose-containing substance as a raw material without using a harmful catalyst or an organic solvent.
