abstract |
A method for producing an oocyte for in vitro fertilization (IVF) or artificial fertilization is provided. By transferring a composition comprising i) an oocyte progenitor cell (OSC) mitochondria, such as an anucleated cytoplasm or isolated mitochondria, or ii) mitochondria obtained from a progeny of OSC, to an autologous oocyte. A method of producing an oocyte for in vitro fertilization (IVF) or artificial insemination comprising the step of producing an oocyte for IVF or artificial insemination, and an oocyte produced according to the method.
