abstract | A method of manufacturing a preform for molding a fiber reinforced resin for shaping a reinforcing fiber base, which eliminates corner bridges and reduces dimensional variations during the preforming of the reinforcing fiber base. The purpose is to reduce the unnecessary disposal of the base material and to improve the low cost, high accuracy, and versatility by performing press forming of complicated shapes collectively. A preform manufacturing method for shaping a reinforcing fiber base using a molding die, wherein a positioning member is arranged in advance at a predetermined position of the reinforcing fiber base and is provided in the molding die. A pre-shaped step for aligning the positioning member with the position guide formed, and a shaping step for pressing the pre-shaped reinforcing fiber base with the molding die.
