abstract | Provided is a means for detecting only carbapenemase-resistant bacteria that are resistant to carbapenem antibiotics. A composition for detecting a carbapenemase-resistant bacterium comprising faropenem or a salt thereof and cloxacillin or a salt thereof, and particularly useful for detecting a carbapenemase-resistant enteric bacterium.
