abstract | To provide a sealing member having a relatively simple configuration and excellent sealing performance, and a method for manufacturing an electrical component package using the sealing member. In a sealing member 3, a first base layer 35 made of a copper plating layer, a first nickel plating layer 32, a first copper plating layer 33, and a first surface 31a side of a metal core 31 are provided. The 1st silver plating layer 34 is laminated | stacked in order. Therefore, heating is performed while pressing the sealing member 3 toward the base member 2 in a state where the sealing member 3 is overlapped with the one surface 31 a of the sealing member 3 facing the end surface 220 of the side wall 22 of the base member 2. As a result, silver atoms and copper atoms diffuse to form a brazing material made of a silver-copper alloy.
