titleOfInvention Method for analyzing amino acid sequence of peptide
abstract A method for analyzing the amino acid sequence of a peptide using a tandem mass spectrometer (MS / MS), and observing both signals of an N-terminal fragment ion and a C-terminal fragment ion. A method is provided that can reliably assign which series the signal belongs to. N-terminal fragmentation of ions signals having different m / z values by the difference in mass by utilizing the difference in mass due to the difference in labeling or the presence or absence of labeling of the N-terminal amino group of the peptide to be analyzed. The signal of an ion having the same m / z value is assigned to that of a C-terminal fragment ion. [Selection] Figure 2
