abstract Disclosed are compounds and methods for tethering proteins. For example, a dimer of a protein comprising SOD1 and DJ-1 is described, wherein the dimer is formed by covalently linking a first monomer cysteine and a second monomer cysteine via a cyclic disulfide linker.
