abstract A method is provided for adjusting the shape of a plurality of relief printing dots produced in a photosensitive printing blank during the plate making process. The photocurable layer is exposed to actinic radiation using an array of UV LED light devices, and the use of the array of UV LED light devices results in the desired flatness of the top of the relief print dots, the desired shoulder angle of the relief print dots. And a relief printed dot having at least one geometric characteristic selected from the group consisting of the desired edge definition of the relief printed dot.
