Graphene produced by ball milling of the media has a very small particle size, a relatively high surface area and a specific aspect ratio. It is tailored to make a nanocomposite or coating by coating or mixing other particles. The metal or metal oxide can be formed into a coating or composite with high surface area, relatively low aspect ratio graphene. If the added particles are larger than graphene, they are coated with graphene, and if they are approximately the same size, a nanocomposite is formed. Nanocomposites are useful for producing electrodes, especially for battery and supercapacitor applications. [Selection] Figure 1 |
