PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method, a system, and a computer program for controlling execution of instructions in a transaction in a computing environment. Instruction execution in a transaction environment is selectively controlled. The TRANSACTION BEGIN instruction initiates a transaction, and certain types of instructions include controls that selectively indicate whether execution within the transaction is permitted.
