Circulating bioconversion method and bioreactor assembly |
abstract |
A biocatalyst comprising a microorganism or an isolated enzyme substantially irreversibly held within an open, porous, highly hydrophilic polymer is one or more of one or more substrates. A bioconversion method is disclosed that is circulated between at least two different fluid media for bioconversion to a biological product. These methods are particularly attractive for using a gas phase containing a substrate or for using a liquid feed containing a substrate. |
