abstract NO X trap compositions and their use in exhaust systems for internal combustion engines are disclosed. The NO X trap composition contains a platinum group metal, barium, cobalt, and a magnesia-alumina support. The NO X trap composition is less likely to lose its occlusion ability and shows a decrease in N 2 O production.
