titleOfInvention | Fluorescence flow cytometry |
abstract | A flow cytometer (100) that includes a laser (134), an indexing structure (102), an adjustment structure (144), and a sensor structure (190). The cytometer is conventionally used with a removable microfluidic cassette (104) that is attached to the first position imposed by the indexing structure. The adjustment structure changes the relative position between the interrogation opening of the cassette and the laser beam (132). Feedback from the sensor structure is used to optimize the propagation of the laser through the interrogation aperture (106) and to reduce (hopefully eliminate) autofluorescence caused by the collision of the beam with the cassette (104). used.
