abstract The present invention provides a method for heat integration in the production of saturated C 3 -C 20 alcohols, the hydrogenation feed comprising at least one C 3 -C 20 aldehydes of the hydrogen-containing gas in the hydrogenation zone It relates to a process for hydrogenation in the presence, withdrawing the effluent from this hydrogenation zone and subjecting it to distillation in at least one distillation column to obtain a saturated C 3 -C 20 alcohol rich fraction.
