abstract | The disclosure herein includes a curable fluoropolymer comprising a rapid gas reduced pressure (RGD) resistant fluoroelastomer composition and having a cure site monomer having at least one functional group that can be cured with a peroxide curing agent. The composition includes a bisphenyl curing agent, an organic peroxide curing agent, and an organic peroxide co-curing agent. The fluoroelastomer composition has a ratio of bisphenyl curing agent to organic peroxide co-curing agent of about 0.25: 1 to about 1.5: 1, and about 0.5: 1 to about 1.5: 1. It has a ratio of bisphenyl curing agent to organic peroxide. Such compositions can be formed into seals that meet RGD industry standards of various sizes with thicknesses or cross-sectional diameters up to 5 mm and / or greater than 5 mm. |
