abstract |
Disclosed herein are monofunctional benzoxazine compounds having at least one electron withdrawing group. This monofunctional benzoxazine compound can be combined with one or more multifunctional benzoxazine compounds to form a unique benzoxazine blend. This benzoxazine blend can be combined with additional components such as catalysts and tougheners to form curable resin compositions suitable for forming resin films or composites. The presence of a monofunctional benzoxazine improves the processability of the resin composition by reducing the viscosity of the benzoxazine-based resin composition and is formed from this composition without degrading the elastic modulus of the cured resin. Resulting in improved tack and drape of the film and composite material. [Selection figure] None |
