abstract The present invention relates to the development of paints, plasters, cements and plastic building materials containing silver, zinc and copper metal ion filled zeolite (1/10 w / w). This new building material is antimicrobial and prevents microbial growth and reproduction of fungi, yeast and bacteria. Products made from building materials containing metal ion exchanged zeolites provide hygiene by preventing microbial contamination in areas and surfaces over an extended period of time. Furthermore, the material produced with this technology will be protected from biological degradation, corrosion and decay, thus extending its lifetime.
