Disclosed is a method for preparing a fluoropolymer by emulsion polymerization of a reaction mixture in an aqueous medium, wherein the reaction mixture comprises (I) [Chemical 1] (Wherein R 1 , R 2 , and R 3 are each independently a hydrogen atom, an alkyl group, a substituted alkyl group, or a halogen, and at least one of R 1 , R 2 , and R 3 is a fluorine atom) Wherein R is each independently a substituent on the styrene ring, n is an integer of 0 to 5, and represents the number of substituents on the styrene ring); b) i) A combination of an emulsion stabilizer comprising an anionic surfactant; ii) a cationic surfactant or a nonionic surfactant; and c) a free radical initiator.
