abstract | A system and method for efficiently microwave drying extruded honeycomb structures is disclosed. In the method, the first and second honeycomb structure aggregates are conveyed in a plurality of cavities in opposite directions. Each honeycomb structure has a moisture content M C, and the honeycomb structure group in each cavity determines the average moisture content of 40% to 60% in the honeycomb structure group. In the method, the first and second honeycomb structure aggregate of the cavity group, P R <(0.2) in the case of the P I, the honeycomb structure group reflected microwave power amount P R Is irradiated with a microwave having an incident microwave power P I to be generated.
