Image processor for intraoperative optical coherence tomographic imaging of laser cataract surgery |
abstract |
The cataract surgery system includes a laser source that generates a first set of laser pulses, a guide optical element that guides the first set of laser pulses to a target area in a cataract in an eye, and a laser controller, Generating an electronic representation of a target scanning pattern; and controlling the guiding optical element to scan the first set of laser pulses according to a portion of the target scanning pattern to define a first photodisruption region A laser controller that produces in the cataract target area and a spectral domain optical coherence tomography (SD-OCT) imaging system that produces an image of a portion of the first photodisruption area. A laser controller generates an electronic representation of a modified scan pattern associated with the image generated by the SD-OCT imaging system and controls the guide optics to generate a second set of laser pulses. The scanning can be performed according to the changed scanning pattern. |
