Fibronectin binding domain with reduced immunogenicity |
abstract |
A fibronectin type III (10Fn3) binding domain with a novel design associated with reduced immunogenicity is provided. This application describes an alternative 10Fn3 binding domain that does not modify certain immunogenic regions in making binding agents in order to maintain recognition as a self-antigen by the host organism. The present application also describes a 10Fn3 binding domain in which the HLA anchor region is disrupted, thereby reducing the immunogenic contribution of the adjacent region. Also provided is a 10Fn3 domain with a novel combination of modified regions that can bind with high affinity to a desired target. |
