titleOfInvention Method for calculating and displaying brain amyloid in gray matter
abstract An imaging workstation (20) including one or more processors programmed to receive (170) an image depicting a distribution of radioactive tracers within the brain or other region of interest. The radioactive tracer includes at least one of [18F] -flutemetamol, [18F] -Florbetaben and [18F] -Florbetapyr that highlights amyloid deposition. An image and a template or MRI image of the region of interest that includes the segmented anatomical features (eg, gray matter) are registered in the common space (180). A volume representation of the image is extracted (210) that depicts the distribution of radioactive tracers within the segmented gray matter and suppresses the radioactive tracers outside the segmented anatomical features within the white matter.
