abstract | The present invention relates to methods for disinfection comprising an antimicrobial composition, antimicrobial compositions and antimicrobial compounds suitable for use in such methods. The present invention particularly relates to antimicrobial compositions for personal cleaning, oral care or hard surface cleaning applications. It has been found that compositions containing selected substituted phenols and carriers provide antimicrobial activity. In a preferred embodiment, the compositions of the present invention also contain 1 to 80% by weight surfactant. |
