Image forming apparatus |
abstract |
An image forming apparatus capable of suppressing the occurrence of a filming phenomenon when the apparatus is left for a long period of time. An image forming apparatus includes an image bearing rotating body such as a photoreceptor 2 that carries a toner image, and an intermediate transfer unit that finally transfers a toner image on the surface of the image bearing rotating body to a transfer material such as a transfer sheet S. 8 and the like, and a cleaning blade such as a blade member 5A for cleaning the transfer residual toner adhering to the surface of the image carrier rotator in contact with the surface of the image carrier rotator. Then, when the rotation of the image carrier rotator is stopped after the operation in which the toner amount input to the cleaning blade is larger than the toner amount input in the normal image formation operation, the image carrier rotator is moved to the image forming operation. A reverse rotation operation mode in which the rotation direction is opposite to the rotation direction is executed. [Selection] Figure 15 |
