abstract | Disclosed are an optical waveguide resin composition, an optical waveguide resin film, and an optical waveguide using these, which are soluble in an alkaline aqueous solution and can be patterned by alkali development. An optical waveguide forming resin composition comprising (A) a polymer, (B) a polymerizable compound, and (C) a polymerization initiator, wherein the composition is formed into a film. Then, the film is cured by irradiating ultraviolet rays at a predetermined dose (X1), and the composition is formed into a film with a refractive index A measured at a predetermined wavelength (λ1). The ultraviolet rays are irradiated at a predetermined dose (X1). The relationship between the refractive index B at a predetermined wavelength (λ1), measured after being cured by irradiation with, and immersed in an aqueous potassium carbonate solution of a predetermined concentration at a predetermined temperature and time, is A> B.
