titleOfInvention SAMPLE HOLDER CONTAINING MEMBER AND ASSEMBLING WITH SAMPLE HOLDER AND ITS MEMBER
abstract A sample holder housing member for maintaining a sample holder for holding a biological sample in place in a container is provided. A sample holder housing member includes a generally planar frame. The frame includes a plurality of confinement surfaces capable of confining the tapered end of the sample holder 11 and the non-tapered end of the sample holder, and at least one cantilever finger extending from the frame. The cantilever fingers can deflect from a low stress state to a high stress state when engaged in a plurality of confinement surfaces, thereby maintaining the sample holder in the frame.
