abstract | A method and an internal combustion engine for removing sulfur oxide (SOx) from exhaust gas that reduces corrosion problems and at the same time reduces operating and installation costs without compromising scrubbing efficiency. An exhaust system B having at least a base storage tank A0, a buffer tank A1, and a scrubbing unit A3 is provided. The base storage tank A0 supplies a base to the buffer tank A1 through a base dose line L0. The buffer tank A1 has an alkaline scrubbing water connected to the prepared scrubbing water inlet of the scrubbing unit A2 via the scrubbing water supply line L1. has an outlet portion of the supply line L2, scrubbing unit A2 includes an outlet portion of the water for scrubbing in which exhausted, and at least one exhaust gas G1n inlet from the combustion chamber, and SO x decreases exhaust gas G2 outflow portion An internal combustion engine.
