abstract PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a novel glycosylase having an enzyme activity for easily and artificially generating a disubstituted C-glycoside by sugar-carbon bonding to a substrate and using the sugar, and glycosylating it using the sugar A method of producing a disubstituted C-glycoside is provided. SOLUTION: A glucosidase is derived from citrus fruits or beans, and each sugar is carbon-carbon bonded to 2 carbon atoms in the skeleton of a substrate selected from phenylpropanoid and phenylacetophenone, and then the sugar is used as a disaccharide. It has enzymatic activity to produce substituted C-glycosides. In the glycosylation method, a disubstituted C-glycoside is produced using a glycosidase gene having a DNA encoding a glycosidase.
