[PROBLEMS] To provide an excellent chemical structure that does not contain perfluoroalkyl group having 8 or more carbon atoms and has no fear of generating perfluorooctanesulfonic acid and perfluorooctanoic acid, which are problematic in terms of bioaccumulation and environmental adaptability. Provided is a novel fluorine-containing silane compound useful as a fluorine-based silane coupling agent that can impart water and oil repellency. A fluorine-containing silane compound represented by the following formula (1) having at least one nitrogen-containing perfluoroalkyl group and alkoxysilyl group in the molecule.
