PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a recording method having excellent glitter and excellent color reproducibility. A pretreatment step of applying a treatment agent containing inorganic fine particles to at least a part of a recording surface of a recording medium, and discharging a water-based dye ink to the portion of the recording surface to which the treatment agent is applied by an inkjet method. A water-based dye ink discharging step; and a glittering pigment ink discharging step of discharging a glittering pigment ink containing a glittering pigment and water to a portion of the recording surface where the water-based dye ink is discharged by an inkjet method.
