abstract PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a nonaqueous electrolytic solution having a relatively high oxidation-reduction current value of magnesium. A non-aqueous electrolyte used for an electricity storage device utilizing a redox reaction of magnesium, wherein a magnesium halide as an electrolyte and an aluminum halide as an additive are dissolved in an ether solvent. Use water electrolyte. Further, the magnesium halide as the electrolyte is magnesium chloride, the aluminum halide as the additive is aluminum chloride, and the ether solvent is 2-methyl-tetrahydrofuran.
