titleOfInvention | Ion trap mass spectrometer and mass spectrometry method using the apparatus |
abstract | An object of the present invention is to reduce the influence of space charge in an ion trap and ensure high mass accuracy and mass resolution without causing problems such as increase in measurement time, sample waste, and decrease in detection sensitivity. After acquiring data in the entire m / z range or a predetermined m / z range (S5), a mass spectrum integrated with the data acquired so far is obtained (S6) and detected on the spectrum. The S / N ratio is calculated for each peak (S7-S8). Then, the S / N ratio of each peak is compared with the threshold (S9-S10), and the measurement conditions are changed to exclude the m / z range corresponding to the peak showing the S / N ratio above the threshold from the m / z range to be measured. (S11). If the measurement is repeated while changing the measurement conditions in this way, the measurement in the m / z range including the weak ion peak with a low S / N ratio will be executed to the end, so high precision that reduces the effect of space charge while reducing unnecessary measurements High resolution and high sensitivity can be measured.
