The present invention provides a polyarylene sulfide composition having excellent slidability, water repellency, heat resistance and molding processability. A polytetrafluoroethylene short fiber (B) having a fiber diameter of 0.5 to 50 μm and a fiber length of 0.2 to 10 mm is contained in an amount of 5 to 50 parts by weight per 100 parts by weight of polyarylene sulfide (A).
