abstract | An object of the present invention is to provide an antifoaming agent that exhibits excellent antifoaming properties (foam breaking and foam suppressing effects) even after long-term storage. A fumed silica (A) and a polyether compound (B) are included, and the fumed silica (A) content is 0 based on the weight of the fumed silica (A) and the polyether compound (B). An antifoaming agent characterized by having a content of 3 to 15% by weight and a polyether compound (B) content of 85 to 99.7% by weight is used. The methanol wettability (M value) of the fumed silica (A) is preferably 35 to 75. The number average primary particle size of fumed silica (A) is preferably 5 to 30 nm. [Selection figure] None |
