abstract A recovery agent and a recovery method for effectively recovering a radioactive substance taken into a living body are provided. A radioactive substance recovery agent containing a Bifidobacterium genus microorganism as an active ingredient, wherein the microorganism is contained in a capsule, and the target radioactive substance to be recovered is radioactive cesium, radioactive sodium, or radioactive strontium.
