abstract | Disclosed is an epoxy group-containing composition that has excellent heat resistance when cured and is a cured product suitable for use in electronic component materials such as semiconductor sealing materials and printed wiring boards, and heat management materials. An epoxy group-containing spirochroman compound represented by the following general formula (1): (In the above formula, R 1 and R 2 each independently represent a hydrogen atom or a hydrocarbon group having 1 to 10 carbon atoms, and R 3 and R 4 are each independently a hydrogen atom, 1 to 10 carbon atoms. R 5a to R 5c and R 6a to R 6c each independently represents a hydrogen atom or a saturated alkyl group having 1 to 3 carbon atoms, and m and n are each independently 0.
