abstract A carbon fiber composite material using a thermoplastic resin as a matrix is provided. The fiber is composed of carbon fiber having a fiber length of more than 10 mm and not more than 100 mm and a thermoplastic resin, the carbon fiber is opened and substantially two-dimensionally oriented, and is defined by the formula (1). Regarding the carbon fiber bundle (A) composed of the number of critical single yarns or more, the ratio to the total amount of fibers is more than 0 Vol% and less than 30 Vol%, and the average number of fibers (N) in the carbon fiber bundle (A) is represented by the following formula (2 ).
