abstract | Provided are a porous zinc oxide thin film doped with or not doped with a group 3B element and a method for producing the same. A method for producing a porous zinc oxide thin film comprising applying any of the following compositions A to C to a substrate surface under an inert gas atmosphere and then performing a heating operation at least once. Composition A: Contains a partially hydrolyzed product obtained by adding water to an organic solvent solution of the organic zinc compound of formula (1), and a halogen-containing organic compound. Composition B: Contains a partially hydrolyzed product obtained by adding water and a halogen-containing organic compound to an organic solvent solution of the organic zinc compound of the general formula (1) and the group 3B element compound of the formula (2) or (3) . Composition C: a partial hydrolyzate obtained by adding water to an organic solvent solution of an organic zinc compound of formula (1), a group 3B element compound of formula (2) or (3), and a halogen-containing organic compound.
