abstract PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ink capable of satisfying both optical density and scratch resistance of an image at a high level. An ink containing a pigment dispersed in a resin, a surfactant, a water-soluble organic solvent, and water, wherein the content of the pigment in the ink is relative to the content of the resin. The surfactant contains a fluorosurfactant having a mass ratio of more than 3 times, the surfactant represented by the general formula (1), and an HLB value determined by the Griffin method of 11 or less. The organic solvent contains at least one water-soluble organic solvent selected from the specific group A, and the total content of the water-soluble organic solvent of the group A is a water-soluble organic solvent other than the group A.
