titleOfInvention | Electro-optical device manufacturing method, electro-optical device, and electronic apparatus |
abstract | An object of the present invention is to provide an electro-optical device manufacturing method, an electro-optical device, and an electronic apparatus that can improve moisture resistance and reliability by a gold layer. In an electro-optical device 100, in an electro-optical panel 100p, a resin barrier layer 70 is formed outside a sealing material 60, and the outer surface of the resin barrier layer 70 is covered with a gold layer 75. Since the resin barrier layer 70 has a sulfur-containing functional group on the outer surface 70 a, sulfur and gold are strongly bonded between the resin barrier layer 70 and the gold layer 75. In forming the resin barrier layer 70, for example, after forming the resin layer 71 that seals between the first substrate 10 and the second substrate 20 outside the sealing material 60, a silane cup containing a sulfur-containing functional group is formed. The outer surface 71 a of the resin layer 71 is treated with a ring agent to form a silane polymer layer 72 containing a sulfur-containing functional group on the outer surface 71 a of the resin layer 71.
