abstract | A method for discriminating fuel includes an ultraviolet fluorescent method, a sulfur concentration analysis method, a refractive index measurement method, and the like, but a sulfur concentration meter is expensive and the measurement method is difficult. Although the coumarin detection device is inexpensive, it requires a fractional distillation / extraction operation with a solvent and takes a long time for determination. When a coumarin removing agent is added, accurate determination cannot be performed. Measurement with a refractometer requires labor and time for measurement, and it is impossible to discriminate between light oil and heavy fuel oil A, or light oil and kerosene mixed fuel. In addition, there is a range where erroneous determination occurs in the determination method based on the hue value of the fuel. In order to improve the discrimination accuracy, the discrimination of fuel is performed by combining the detection of the attribute value of the color of the fuel and the detection of the light absorption intensity of ultraviolet rays in the vicinity of a wavelength of 400 nm.
