abstract Provided is a lens evaluation method that can target various lenses and can more accurately and easily grasp the protective effect on human eyes. In a method for evaluating lenses A to C according to the present invention, a petri dish L containing lutein is used. The protective effect of the lenses A to C is evaluated by shining light on the petri dish L with the lenses A to C and measuring the degree of degradation of lutein in the petri dish L. The greater the degree of deterioration, the smaller the protection effect of the lenses A to C, and the smaller the degree of deterioration, the greater the protection effect of the lenses A to C.
