titleOfInvention Liquid crystal display
abstract An object of the present invention is to prevent a phenomenon in which an alignment film material hardly flows into a through hole when the diameter of the through hole for connecting a pixel electrode and a source electrode becomes small. A common electrode 105 is formed on an organic passivation film 104, an interlayer insulating film 106 is formed thereon, a pixel electrode 107 having a slit is formed thereon, and a TFT electrode is formed through a through hole 109. In the TFT substrate 100 having a pixel in which the source electrode 102 and the pixel electrode 107 are electrically connected, the taper angle at the D / 2 position of the depth of the through hole 109 is 50 degrees or more. A part of the side wall is covered, and the other part of the side wall of the through hole 109 is not covered with the pixel electrode 107. This facilitates the flow of the alignment film material 108 into the through hole 109 and eliminates the uneven thickness of the alignment film 108 in the vicinity of the through hole 109.
