abstract |
A microfluidic sensor provided with a thin and smooth electrode deposit for realizing high measurement accuracy is provided. A microfluidic sensor with high measurement accuracy, such as an electrochemical blood test strip, includes a plurality of channels through which a fluid to be measured flows by capillary action. One or more electrodes are disposed below the flow path. As the fluid flows through the flow path above the electrodes, the impedance between each electrode can be measured to determine the fluid properties. In order to increase the measurement accuracy, the thickness of the electrode deposit can be configured to be less than 10 μm by a highly process-consistent printing process, thereby reducing the obstruction of the fluid flow by the electrode deposit.
