titleOfInvention | Ethylene polymer production catalyst and method for producing ethylene polymer |
abstract | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To produce an ethylene polymer suitable for producing an ultra-high molecular weight ethylene polymer having a stable particle shape and particle diameter and having a high bulk density with high activity and efficiently while suppressing occurrence of fouling. A catalyst and a method for producing an ultra high molecular weight polyethylene polymer are provided. A transition metal compound (A) having a specific structure, an organically modified clay (B) modified with an aliphatic salt having a specific structure and having a particle size of 0.01 μm or more and 10 μm or less, and an organoaluminum compound ( C), an ethylene-based polymer production catalyst further comprising a nonionic surfactant (D) if necessary, and a method for producing an ethylene-based polymer using the catalyst.
