abstract An object of the present invention is to provide a separator for a non-aqueous electrolyte secondary battery that can sufficiently prevent an internal short circuit due to lithium deposition while having good air permeability. A separator 20 according to the present disclosure includes a first layer 21 including a thermoplastic resin fiber 24, and a second layer mainly composed of cellulose fibers 25 formed on at least one side of the first layer 21. 22. The first layer 21 has a mixed portion 23 formed by mixing thermoplastic resin fibers 24 and cellulose fibers 25 at the interface with the second layer 22.
