The present invention provides a removal material that can be used for harbors, lakes, and rivers and that can remove not only ionic but also particulate strontium. A strontium removing material comprising organic polymer fibers into which iminodiacetic acid groups have been introduced by a radiation graft polymerization method. High selectivity to strontium, which was difficult to remove with conventional chelate resins, and the use of various shapes suitable for contamination conditions such as cartridge filters and moldings by using fibers as the base material.
