abstract | The present invention provides a graft copolymer having a high functional group introduction amount, a production method thereof, and an adsorbent capable of efficiently recovering metals and the like. (1) At least one resin (polymer A) selected from the group consisting of an olefin resin, an amide resin, a cellulose resin, a chitosan resin, and a (meth) acrylic ester resin. A graft copolymer in the form of porous particles (particles having pores having an average pore diameter of 0.01 μm to 50 μm on the surface) into which graft chains have been introduced. (2) A step of obtaining a composite by melting and mixing the polymer A and a polymer B different from the polymer A, and extracting the polymer B from the composite to obtain a porous body made of the polymer A A method for producing porous graft copolymer particles, comprising: a step; and a step of introducing a graft chain into the granulated porous body.
