titleOfInvention | Balloon catheter |
abstract | An object of the present invention is to provide a balloon catheter having a novel structure capable of obtaining good pushability for a stenosis site while avoiding the occurrence of an accordion phenomenon due to indentation resistance due to the stenosis site with high accuracy. In a balloon catheter 10 in which a balloon 14 is provided on the distal end side of an outer shaft 20 and an inner shaft 18 is inserted into the balloon 14, the outer side of the inner shaft 18 extends in the lengthwise direction. A reinforcing member 34 is disposed inside the balloon 14, and one end of the reinforcing member 34 is fixed to the distal end side of the balloon 14, while the other end of the reinforcing member 34 is a distal end with respect to the outer shaft 20. A movement limiting mechanism is provided that allows movement to the side and restricts movement of the reinforcing member 34 to the proximal end side with respect to the outer shaft 20 at the other end.
